|In Greece, the interest in Agritourism started relatively late in 1983, when EOT established an inter-service body for the study of this form of tourism and defined the institutional framework of its development. By definition, urban space is rejected for the development of programs in the form of agritourism as opposed to the implementation of mass tourism programs for which urban space is suitable. The ease of travel has turned out to have both good and bad consequences, in the midst of a global pandemic. The virus was aggravated by the undetected spread caused by air travelers who brought the virus outside of China. Because of the high risks of worldwide travelling, nonpharmaceutical interventions (NPIs) such as lockdowns, travel restrictions, border closures, quarantines, and cancellations of global events have been applied This thesis studies the context of agritourism of Greece in the difficult times of COVID-19. The purpose of this thesis is to depict the consequences of the pandemic of COVID-19 in the domain of agritourism, especially in a country like Greece, a country that has suffered from major economic problems.
