Επιτομή: | This thesis reviews the evolution of greenhouse technologies from the time that there were firstly showed up in the ancient years, until today and analyzes the future technologies and prospects of greenhouse production. Firstly, a brief presentation of the historical review of how greenhouses were firstly designed, which were their purposes of use and how they had been evolved as the time passed until today. Furthermore, after presenting the present technologies, an analysis of the structural characteristics and the technologies that are used nowadays will be made. Also, some impacts that these technologies have on plant production will be assessed. Finally, by defining the future prospects of greenhouse technologies; special reference will be provided on the project of NASA on growing plants on planet Mars. The project will be analyzed in a general scheme firstly and after that each sector of it will be evaluated with details. |
