dc.description.abstract | Agriculture is a sector where developments happen in its systems continuously. These developments can help farmers to achieve better yield production which will provide them with more profit. Intercropping is one of these systems which will provide profit but also will benefit the environment and give better solutions to some problems which can be very harmful for them. Another thing that can be beneficial for the environment is the cultivation of Medicinal and Aromatic plants (MAPs). Farmers are cultivating MAPs because as cultivation can be really profitable but also for the production of health care products. Furthermore, MAPs as cultivation can be really nutritious for a field. One of the most common and widely know cultivation that can be benefited from this, is the olive trees. So in this paper it will be given information on the system of intercropping, on MAP cultivation and olive trees and talk about their production harvesting systems. Last but not least it will illustrate if these to cultivations can be used as intercrops and what benefits these two crops can achieve from each other both economical and environmental. | en_US |
