| Abstract: | The thesis explores the market potential of Bottarga, a Mediterranean seafood delicacy, in the UAE and Bahrain luxury food markets. The research integrates a synthesis of worldwide gourmet seafood trends with primary data gathering through a close-ended questionnaire circulated among top management of high-end restaurants and food distribution. Findings reveal high consumer receptivity to new gourmet items, focus on quality rather than price, and high regard for stable supply chains. Statistical analysis, such as frequency distributions, cross-tabulations, and Spearman correlations, substantiates that the Gulf markets are fertile grounds for Bottarga. Pragmatic suggestions on entry strategy, marketing, and distribution are offered in the dissertation to position Bottarga as a premium seafood option in these markets. |
