Abstract: | This thesis delves into the crucial realm of nutritional benchmarking with a focus on traditional Greek- Makedonian recipes, emphasizing the significance of this practice in the context of culinary heritage. The research explores the nutritional benchmarks inherent in traditional Greek recipes, with a specific lens on Makedonian culinary traditions. By meticulously analysing a curated collection of 100 recipes from the Makedonian region. This study aims to unravel the nutritional intricacies that define this unique gastronomic landscape. The methodology employed involves a comprehensive statistical analysis to benchmark the nutritional profiles of these recipes. This involves comparing key nutritional parameters, such as macronutrient composition, caloric content, and other relevant metrics. The outcomes of this research contribute not only to the academic understanding of nutritional benchmarks but also provide practical insights for individuals seeking a balanced and informed approach to traditional Greek-Makedonian cuisine. This thesis positions itself at the intersection of cultural preservation, nutrition science, and contemporary dietary awareness.
