Abstract: The present study aimed to evaluate the effects from various rates of commercial biostimulants (Zeolite, Mycorrhiza and VIORMON) on yield and other agronomic properties of two lettuce varieties (PICOS and SIMPSON’S) grown in a greenhouse pots under three different substrates. The results showed that the two lettuce varieties were affected differently from the treatments applied. In general, the pot substrates showed significant differences especially in the treatment with the enriched substrate (VIORMON). Moreover the application of Zeolite did not cause statistically significant increases in productivity of the lettuce, possibly because of the high percentage of organic matter in the substrates. Finally the Mycorrhiza treatments did not have statistical differences, possibly because of their selective action and their multivariate nature.
