Pest control is a significant element of modern societies, affecting both the economic and life-quality aspects. House flies, the subject of this paper, can act as very effective disease vectors. House flies are considered an important problem in Greece and there is a need for an effective and sustainable product to help alleviate the problem. Florida-Fly baiter, a novel fly control device, may be a part of the solution. This paper is an innovative research for Greece. Through this paper we present the first scientific evidence on the efficacy of the Florida-Fly baiter under field-conditions of severe, medium and low levels of house fly nuisance (animal farm, rural house, food supplying store). These data can be useful in determining where, when and how this trap should be used in order to efficiently control house flies. Furthermore, it will provide guidance to the manufacturers/producers on developing a better strategic sales plan by targeting those segments of the market where the trap was mostly effective.en_US
