Abstract: The aim of this dissertation is to examine the extent of the ability of '', a slaughterhouse situated in Western FYROM, to compete in an international market. This research dually evaluates the organizational ability to utilize the national advantages in creating competitive advantage through complementary research. The first research is qualitative through examination of the national context of the meat industry of FYROM using Porter's Diamond Model. The second research is primarily quantitative using Alignment Diagnostic Profile questionnaire for identification and examination of the misalignment of the company and the existing pathologies. The results of the research showed that the Diamond factors in FYROM are average, however the Demand Conditions are somewhat positive and could be utilized in achieving national competitiveness. The internal relationships of the company show that there is no strong misalignment in the company. However the lowest level of the management demonstrates clear misalignment in the 'Customer' dimension of the Alignment model. The originality of this dissertation is that there are limited studies that attempt to exploit both external environment and internal relationships of organizations. This dissertation combines different methods and gives valuable information that can be utilized by 'IKL Gorni Polog GV', as well as by other companies in the meat industry of FYROM.
