Year of 2019 constituted as the last year of humanity that lived a permanent development. The Great Depression of the economy in 2007 was also a bad year for humanity. However, the progress being made in various fields was abruptly interrupted by the emergence of a novel virus in November 2019 in Wuhan, China, albeit initially on a small scale. By the following month, news of the virus had spread worldwide, though people were not yet alarmed as they were unaware of the magnitude of the impending crisis. Over time, the virus spread exponentially, leading to widespread lockdown measures that had a significant impact on global trade and the economy, resulting in an immediate downturn. Except from the consequences that covid-19 had in the economy (reduction of the productivity because of the work from home), also because of covid-19, people appeared changes in the communication and moreover they gained different attitude. The unprecedented experience of being confined to our homes for prolonged periods of time became a novel phenomenon for our society. Consequently, there was a marked increase in instances of depression and mental instability, while anxiety levels surged as individuals became increasingly apprehensive about contracting the virus. The social fabric of interpersonal relationships was also strained during this time. Fortunately, technological advancements such as social media and mobile phones enabled people to remain connected despite these challenges. So, in this study I will make a research on the impact of covid-19 in olive oil consumption and I will also check if there was a change in the behavior of the consumer. The research will take place in Greece and more specifically the respondents will be from Kalamata and Thessaloniki. Furthermore a small analysis of what olive oil means in our country will take place in literature review. Moreover the change in the behavior of a consumer will be checked, because in all markets and products has been changed, because of healthy reasons mostly.en_US
