dc.description.abstract | An experiment was conducted during 2020-2022. The experiment was designed by the dissertation director and included the comparison between soil analyses that were produced by an innovative Soil Near-Infrared Scanner, also known as AgroCares Soil Scanner, and soil analyses from the Greek Soil Laboratories. Additionally, the soil analyses of the AgroCares scanner were also compared with the soil analyses from a sophisticated machine also known as Dumatherm. The results of the study highlighted a low level of correlation and indicated extremely low RSquares for validation studies. Therefore, the AgroCares soil scanner cannot be described as ideal for on-the-go soil analysis. However, apart from the main results the study also includes suggestions regarding the future improvement of the scanner, and most importantly, it highlights the future advantages that similar technologies can offer. | en_US |
