Abstract: | Main goal of this thesis is to investigate consumer awareness in Greece and Serbia towards the sustainability in agriculture. Wide range of criteria will be examined with the idea to understand if the consumers are aware of this term and to develop the idea from where their knowledge comes from. We want to see if the companies nowadays play an important role in this, if they are informing consumers about the way their products are produced. We examined all of this statistically using quantitative methods including frequency tables, pie charts, cross tabulations. The result of the research indicates that there is a need to educate people on this topic more. Companies that use sustainable way of production often according to our research do not inform people about their ways, because of that consumers often face issues when choosing a product. |
